Has anybody thought of starting a public broadband/fiber network with the UW? right now greek row is only serviced by the corporate game, but the infrastructure is basically right here (main trunk lines in place along 45th and 50th). Its a forgotten ‘hood when it comes to the whole income equality thing, but some of the poorest people still live here (even if we are surrounded by rich college kids). May want to think about getting a foot-in-the-door public utility here as many of the components are ripe to make it happen here. Once it starts here i feel that it would most likely spread like a virus with the record bad customer service that Comcast and Century Link provide.
