Saturday morning will bring crowds to Capitol Hill for the People’s March, a rally and march organized by the Women’s March Seattle folks to stand up for civil rights as Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House.
Saturday afternoon will bring a crowd, too — for soup.
Capitol Hill’s Polish Home will host a first-ever event Saturday celebrating Seattle’s sister cities with a free soup tasting featuring flavors from our ten sibling municipalities around the world.
“The Soup Sampling is a community event where volunteer cooks from 10 Seattle Sister Cities share popular international soups representing four continents,” the Seattle Sister Cities Association says. “Guests need bring only a smile and an interest in tasting new recipes and learning about diverse cultures.”
A $1 per tasting donation is also recommended to help support the association.
