Shop the Hill: A look inside The (transplanted) Plant Store — Plus, a new ‘Capitol Hill Passport’ from the GSBA with giveaways from local shops

Miles Jonard loves plants

If you recently saw a happy new pairing of a Seattle resident walking down Pine with his new Norfolk Island Pine, you saw the magic of The Plant Store at work.

The newly transplanted Capitol Hill store is only one of a forest of retailers and pop-up markets ready to be part of happy moments like that man-pine love and holiday gift giving success stories.

Once again this holiday season, CHS will be around to help support local merchants with the free Shop the Hill effort. You can drop us a note or tag us on Instagram @capitolhillseattle with neighborhood updates we should share. Feel free to help out your favorite shops, artists, and organizations even if you aren’t a store owner. We’re hoping to keep the Shop the Hill feed busy with new events and shopping ideas through the holiday.

Meanwhile, the GSBA has launched a new Just Walk InCapitol Hill Passport.” Pick up your passport at participating locations and visit at least three Capitol Hill businesses taking part to qualify to win prizes and gift cards. The promotion is free for GSBA member businesses to be part of.

The Plant Store is located at 1213 Pine. Learn more and shop online at theplantstore.com.
