Seattle Police were investigating a bloody scene in a Capitol Hill apartment building Saturday morning as a man was found stabbed and a teen girl was taken into custody.
Police were called to the Silvian apartment building just after 10:30 AM and found the man suffering from stab wounds to his arm and stomach and a blood splattered apartment door, according to East Precinct radio updates.
As Seattle Fire arrived to treat the building resident and rush him to Harborview, police began searching for a female reported to have fled after the stabbing.
Officers located a 17-year-old hiding behind a nearby building around the block and took her into custody.
Seattle Fire was called to the scene to provide treatment for the teen for a reported facial injury.
SPD’s Sexual Assault Unit was also dispatched to aid in the investigation.
UPDATE 10/29/2024: SPD convfirms it is investigating a sexual assault connected with the incident. “Detectives are also investigating an allegation of sexual assault before the stabbing occurred,” SPD reported late Monday night.
Police have not said if it has made additional arrests in the case.
