Happy Spring. This year around Capitol Hill and the Central District, you can find a few nearby opportunities for kids to search for plastic eggs and Easter candy.
For the littlest ones, Capitol Hill’s Miller Community Center is hosting its Spring Egg Hunt on Thursday for kids five and under. Bigger kids will need to wait for one of Seattle Parks and Recreation’s hunts on Saturday including at Garfield Community Center starting at 10 AM. You can find a roster of all the parks department’s spring egg hunts here.
As for Capitol Hill’s central park, it has been a long time since the city included Cal Anderson in its spring egg hunt plans — which makes it an excellent location for for you to unleash your inner Easter Bunny.
Central Seattle, meanwhile, will have a new community sponsored hunt this year hosted by the Friends of Madison Park group. That Saturday egg hunt will feature “music, crafts, games and face-painting for ages 0-10” at the Madison Park Playground.
