I live right at that intersection and was there in the immediate aftermath. One of the people from the vehicle had blood sprayed across her face and they were all in such shock. Just awful. There’s a house right at the corner where the shots were fired that is constantly at the epicenter of gun violence. I’ve personally witnessed two drive by shootings on that block in recent years and heard tell of several more. The city needs to address this with a gun buyback program. The fewer guns on the streets, the fewer fall into the hands of people who won’t use them responsibly. I’m praying for the young man who was shot. May he make a full recovery.
Is there any more information on this shooting? Was it gang related or was it just a random car that was shot at?
Was it caught in crossfire? Was it targeted? I don’t understand why we are not being provided more information on this.
I don’t mean to disagree with tyjo, but have lived 2 blocks from where this took place and don’t remember there being a shooting in this corner in the 24 years I have been here I d t remember any shootings or problem houses
Shooting was totally random. Victim was shot twice in the neck, not head.
6 more shots, right around the corner from last nights shooting.
We heard Monday night shots from over by 25th St. Sounded like an automatic weapon.
Crickets from Joy… hey Joy, check your friggin’ email!
Any update on the man’s condition? We have anxiously been awaiting an update in news sources as we were on scene. Thank you.
It can be really difficult to get this information from Harborview without patient’s name or family connection. We will keep checking on it with SPD.
Looks like there has been an update. I’m saddened there hasn’t been more attention about this in the wider news media. Such a heartbreaking and maddening tragedy. https://spdblotter.seattle.gov/2024/01/29/male-in-critical-condition-after-shooting-in-cherry-hill/
