Bullets flew into buildings and reportedly grazed a man outside the neighborhood Maserati dealership in an early morning drive-by shooting in Pike/Pine.

There were no major injuries reported in the just after 1:30 AM incident that brought police to the area to search for a black BMW reportedly at the center of the melee and to comb through the streets looking for shell casings.

UPDATE: CHS has obtained video from the scene showing two suspects on foot crossing 11th Ave just after 1:30 AM before one turns at the corner and opens fire in the direction of the A Pizza-Mart bar and restaurant. Seconds later, the driveby shooting was reported at 12th and Madison.

UPDATE 6:32 PM: SPD tells CHS that the 11th and Pike shooting began as a robbery attempt at the business. The same vehicle the 11th and Pike suspects fled the scene in was recovered near the Lakeview shooting scene.

The victim who was grazed told police he was standing outside the car dealership near 12th and Madison when a white male reported wearing a dark ballcap on the passenger side of the vehicle opened fire. Police reported the victim declined medical attention, according to East Precinct radio updates.

Police were gathering evidence at multiple locations including near 11th and Pike and at the intersection of 12th/Union/Madison. One bullet reportedly smashed through glass at 11th Ave’s A Pizza Mart and lodged in a pillar of the restaurant.

UPDATE: Police briefly took a teen into custody near the 11th and Pike shooting scene before releasing him after a witness could not identify the male as a suspect.

No additional injuries were reported. There were no reported arrests.

UPDATE: More gunfire was reported later in the morning along Bellevue Ave where a woman reported she was shot in the legs while driving. Seattle Police were called to the area where the woman called 911 around 2:45 AM. Officers were looking for a shooting scene north of where the woman was located along Bellevue but were delayed by language barriers with the victim. Law enforcement was also looking into reports of a man with a gun seen near I-5. Seattle Fire reports the woman was transported in stable condition to Harborview.

UPDATE x2: Police say the shooting scene was reported to be near Lakeview and Belmont and the suspect vehicle’s description matches the vehicle in the earlier incident in Pike/Pine:

The victim stated the incident occurred near the area of Lakeview Blvd E and Belmont Ave E. The victim described an unknown SUV and unknown suspects firing rounds from the vehicle. Officers performed an area check and located a black unoccupied BMW that had crashed near Lakeview Blvd E and Belmont Ave E. Located inside the vehicle was a pistol magazine. The vehicle was impounded and pending a search warrant to recover the firearm accessory.

So wild how all of these keep happening 2 blocks from the East Precinct yet they can’t seem to find suspects in time….they’re two blocks.

They are also severely understaffed and unsupported by the community in policing this gang violence which is disproportionately within communities of color because it wouldn’t lead to “equitable” arrest outcomes that are exactly proportional to the demographics of Seattle. They are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Not to mention that the gangs are fighting over the drug market to serve “our marginalized houseless neighbors experiencing substance use disorder” that have come to Seattle and Capitol Hill because of enabling policies. Can you connect the dots?

Right on! The SPD is now down about 500 officers from what they actually need, and much of this is because of the anti-police sentiment in Seattle, especially in Capitol Hill. Leftists are largely to blame for the unfettered crime (both large and small) which is now occurring in our city.

You do realize the police aren’t just sitting in the precinct office waiting for crime to strike, right? With a shortage of officers I’d imagine most, if not all, are out on patrol or answering calls across the entirety of the east precinct.

It’s almost like we don’t have enough police…

It doesn’t really matter if they find the suspects. Guns will continue to shoot people forever since we allow people to have guns. This has been happening for decades.

These losers with guns just speed away. We need good cameras, everywhere.

It’s not enough to watch a video of a shooting after it’s happened. We need to take guns away so shootings don’t happen. Video of a shooting that already happened doesn’t help shooting victims. They’re already shot at that point in time.

Like any other day now. People seem got used to those kind of news and just scrolling past. This situation is not normal and it’s only escalating. Open your eyes and act, and vote with this reality in mind.

Clearly if a shooting happened at Lakeview and Belmont, not all shootings happen within 2 blocks of police station.

Can you name one thing Ms. Sawant did toward reducing gun violence?

Bring back Sawant for what purpose? It doesn’t seem like having a populist, grifter scream Marxist slogan into a megaphone is going the help after this shooting any more than it did over the last decade as Capitol Hill unraveled with her as our absent representative on city council.

Sawant is still our representative btw. You and I just forgot because she is such a non-presence in our district when she is not campaigning for herself or against the democratic presidential nominee running against Trump.

Shootings will always happen if people have guns. Guns are the only reason there are shootings.

Guns bad. Say no to guns. Just stop guns now. Bad guns bad. Bad bad bad. Does everybody know that I think guns bad? No? Guns blech! Ew. Go away guns. Guns cause cancer and make me frown.
