Volunteer Park Summer Series at the Amphitheater 2023 lineup announced

The Summer Series at the Amphitheater has announced its 2023 lineup — first show is July 13th

The good folks at the Volunteer Park Trust have announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Series at the Amphitheater, a second season of the free series of shows set up to celebrate the park’s $2.7 million amphitheater replacement that opened last July.

The full 2023 lineup is below. But, first things first, you should enjoy this Memorial Day weekend around the Hill. Here are a few ideas from the CHS Calendar. Missing something? Add your event here.

Memorial Day Weekend On the List

  • Northwest Terror Fest 2023: Neumos and Barboza are hosting this year’s “extreme” metal music festival with the black-clad terror running through Saturday night. Learn more at northwestterrorfest.com.
  • Bullitt Center Tours: Tour Capitol Hill’s super green Bullitt Center, the “greenest office building in the world,” with the folks from the University of Washington Center for Integrated Design — Saturday
  • ‘True Crime and Tragedy in Victorian Seattle’ walking tour: The series from Seattle History Tours continues with a stroll through Capitol Hill’s Lake View Cemetery– Sunday
  • Voices Off Craft Night: Capitol Hill’s Vermillion hosts this “fun-filled evening of artistic expression” from CommuniTea Events — Sunday
  • Lil Woody’s Free Burgers: The Memorial Day tradition continues — Monday

Summer Series at the Amphitheater 2023
For a second season of the Volunteer Park Amphitheater, Volunteer Park Trust is presenting six free performances featuring an eclectic array of musicians and dancers. The shows will be on Thursday evenings, July 13th to August 17th, from 6:00-8:30pm. The Thursday July, 13th event will also be Volunteer Park Trust’s annual Picnic in the Park with free ice cream, lawn games, and craft activities for kids.

Come celebrate with us all summer long! Bring a picnic, your blanket, and your friends and family to enjoy the show each Thursday. Food trucks will also be available at every event. Full information available here.

  • August 3 Kalimba: The Spirit of Earth Wind and Fire LeRoy Bell and His Only Friends

  • August 17 Sara Gazarek Thomas Marriott

This year’s performers will delight the eyes and ears with a range of musical and dance styles. All ages will enjoy listening to the tunes and moving to the music while taking in the beauty of the park, and dining al fresco.
