Nightlife revelers and customers took refuge inside 12th Ave venues after gunfire was reported from a vehicle in the area just after midnight Sunday morning.

Police were called to the Rhein Haus bar after reports that a man opened fire from a large black pickup truck in the incident before speeding away from the scene.

There were no reported injuries.

SPD was at the scene investigating the incident and searching for the vehicle but there were no immediate arrests. The vehicle was last seen headed north from 12th and Columbia.

People lined up to enter Rhein Haus reportedly were scattered from the gunfire while others were briefly kept inside nearby venues by private security during the incident.
