A man was reported stabbed and Seattle Police took a suspect into custody in a reported fight incident Wednesday afternoon near the Walgreens at 23rd and Jackson.
SPD and Seattle Fire were called to the area just before 3:15 PM and found one man covered in blood in what a witness said was an assault that began aboard a Metro bus.
Police took the reported suspect into custody within minutes of arrival without incident.
Seattle Fire says its crews treated a 38-year-old man for his injuries before he was transported to Harborview in stable condition.
Police said one person was injured and confirmed they had another in custody.
The busy Central District shopping center parking lot at 23rd and Jackson was also the scene of a deadly shooting Thursday night that claimed the life of 21-year-old Sultan Ujaama.

Close. The. Parking. Lot.
“….in what a witness said was an assault that began aboard a Metro bus.”
Given that it says the attack began aboard a Metro bus, I think you can reasonably infer neither assailant nor victim drove a car to get there. So it begs the question— what good would closing the parking lot do? Other than destroy a lot of the business around that parking lot.
and how, exactly, does that work? It’s used by a dozen or so businesses.
