A woman said she was robbed at gunpoint and gunfire was reported in the area just before midnight in an incident near the 600 block of Summit Ave E late Sunday night. UPDATE: Police say the incident appears to have been drug related and not a robbery.
Police rushed to the block home to the Summit Pub and Sun Liquor around 11:55 PM where the victim said she had been robbed about 10 minutes earlier by a man and woman reportedly in a ReachNow-style car-sharing vehicle.
The victim told police a shot was fired during the robbery. There were no reported injuries.
Police searched for the suspect car along Summit and on I-5 looking for a silver Mercedes SUV-style vehicle carrying a white male and a white female who appeared to be in their 30s. There were no reported arrests.
UPDATE 10:27 AM: Police believe the incident may have been drug related. Witnesses at the scene told police they didn’t see or hear anything to back up the woman’s story:

I live like a block from there. Hard to believe I would have slept through a gun shot.
I can literally see Summit Pub from my apartment, was awake and near a window and heard nothing resembling a gunshot. Only way I knew something was up was the lights from the 4 police cars that arrived. I doubt there was any shot fired.
