The busiest of businesses this holiday season probably isn’t a gift shop or boutique. For ShipRush, a startup hidden away near 20th and E Madison that specializes in shipping solutions for online ecommerce ventures, it’s the most wonderfully busy time of year.
“People panic when they can’t print their shipping labels,” vice president Rafael Zimberoff tells CHS.
ShipRush provides solutions for ecommerce and accounting and integrates with “over 60 systems and many shipping carriers” for what it says is “the fastest shipping system” available. Beyond all those systems and the integration, Zimberoff provides a simpler explanation. “We print shipping labels. If you sell stuff on the web, we can help.”
The company has space for around 10 of its 18 employees at its new E Madison headquarters. It moved in March after outgrowing it original Leschi home. Zimberoff says the E Madison office space suits the company just fine as “a nice, central location.” And they’re hiring — most recently, looking for tech support.
For Capitol Hill Etsy creators and Ebay vendors who are just finishing with the busy holiday rush, a solution like ShipRush might make sense. “Anyone printing 10 or 20 labels a week or more should look at ShipRush,” Zimberoff said. “Once you get to a certain point that you are spending enough time that you can measure, it might be time.”
Plus, hey, you’ll be shopping local.

“ShipRush provides solutions”
Solutions to what? Do you mean services?
No, I meant solutions. Just wish I hadn’t used the same word 2x. Oh well! Happy holidays, PM :)
