- Rock, paper, scissors robbery: Police arrested a suspect with bottles of wine in his pants after an altercation outside the Harvard Market QFC:
A search of the suspect turned up two bottles of wine the suspect was seen walking out of QFC with without paying, plus two credit cards and a check belonging to other people, two cell phones, and “several SIM cards” in his wallet.
- Doggy door burglary: Police investigating a July 2nd daytime burglary in the 2300 block of Federal Ave E found that the thief used a special tool to gain access and steal jewelry from the residence:
Police collected possible fingerprints and took the tool into evidence.
- Flower shop burglary: A burglar nailed a 15th Ave E florist for around $1,000 in cash after making off with the business’s small safe in an overnight July 2nd break-in. Police found a pane of glass had been removed to gain entry to the shop in the 300 block of 15th Ave E.
- Cal Anderson fight: Police investigated a woman’s reported assault in Cal Anderson the morning of Monday, June 29th:
A male witness told police he was knocked out by a group of males with the female suspect and woke up face down “in the fountain” when he attempted to intervene in the assault and robbery.
- 23rd Ave robbery: The victim in an early morning June 28th street robbery near 23rd and Cherry told police he had just got off the bus when he was mugged of his phone, pack, and jacket by a group of teens:
The incident was reported just before 2 AM. There were no immediate arrests.
- E John Ct bus stop scare: A man was arrested and booked into jail for investigation of harassment after a frightening incident at the bus stop at 15th and E John Ct just after noon on June 23rd:
Police found the suspect nearby still carrying the knife. He was arrested without incident.
- Street robbery caught on video: Police investigating a reported street robbery in which the victim suffered a broken ankle near 13th and Columbia discovered the June 23rd incident was caught on security camera:
The victim said he was walking back from a night on E Pike when he was jumped and robbed:
- Pike/Pine assault: The victim in a June 20th overnight assault suffered a fractured face but told police he was unsure when and where the attack had occurred:
