The school might be losing the “community” element in its brand name but the students at Capitol Hill’s Seattle Central still know how to throw a party. The Seattle Central College Activities Board celebrated its 10th annual Unity Fair Thursday. This year’s fair included DJ Supreme La Rock, performances by Hightek Lowlives, The Flavr Blue, and The School of Taiko Drumming — plus some of the best watermelon eating contest talent enrolled at Seattle Central — and, as usual, marked the official start of Capitol Hill summer. Break out your white pants.
