While we fret about about what the indefinite closure of the Comet Tavern means for Capitol Hill, the Pike/Pine watering hole’s employees are looking for ways to make ends meet. Broadway’s Highline has stepped forward to host a show or two displaced by the sudden shuttering and, next week, the venue is hosting a benefit to raise money for the Comet’s staff.
