CHS Pics | Metrix celebrates four years of making stuff on Broadway

One of the more interesting businesses on Capitol Hill celebrated a fourth birthday Saturday night on Broadway.

Metrix: Create Space opened in October of 2009 just as the idea of 3D printing made the leap into the geekier edges of the mainstream.

The goal, founder Matt Westervelt said in a 2012 interview, is to make things:

My goal is that you can walk in here at the beginning of the day with an idea or something really cool – whether it’s a product or it’s for your own personal gratification or a customized electronic – and make it, start to finish.

Happy four years of creating, Metrix. Hopefully, somebody remembered to print a cake. More pictures below.
