CHS Pics | Thousands brave record rain for annual AIDS Walk across Capitol Hill

BroadwayatBlickSaturday’s participants in the 27th annual Seattle AIDS Walk and 5K Run are probably just now drying out after they celebrated the wettest September day in Seattle history by helping to raise funds for Capitol Hill-based nonprofit, Lifelong. We’re checking in on this year’s dollar totals but you can still give online if the spirit grabs you. In past walks, more than 3,000 people have been part of the event though we’re assuming this year’s sopping conditions may have suppressed the 2013 totals.

Congratulations to the 5K’s fastest runners, Aaron Eggers and Catherine Waddell — we got a glimpse of Waddell racing down E Pine here. You can also congratulate Brian Sycks, Chris Osterhout, and Rusty Martin — 2013’s top fundraisers.

Great cause. SPD did a horrible job of managing traffic flow though.
