I am truly fortunate, last weekend I married my partner of seventeen years, Scooter Lowrimore. I am lucky to live in the beautiful State of Washington and amazing neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Seattle. Living in Washington State my whole life and growing up gay in rural Skagit Valley it was not always clear to me the path I would walk in life, how I would meet my life partner, and make a family. For a couple weeks leading up to our wedding and celebration several friends and family asked if I was nervous, and the answer is/was that I have never been more settled and clear about any decision I’ve made in life. With permission from the City we married in Volunteer Park a couple blocks from our home, and then blocked off the street in front of our house and partied until almost midnight. Thank you Washington State for the privilege and responsibility of marrying the man I love.
Congratulations! I am so happy for you. You don’t know me, but you know my son, Rick Stegeman. You have taken some beautiful pictures of him. Thanks and best wishes for a wonderful future.
Tim and Scooter, you won’t remember me, but I’ve met you both a few times through my wonderful wife. We were married originally in Victoria, and again in CA after we relocated for work in early 2008. We got grandfathered in, and the courts have made this one helluva ride. But one so very worth taking together.
The love you two have always shared doesn’t change because you’re officially married, it just holds more value in the public eye. I wish you both a long and happy marriage and life together.
These are good times and a wonderful place we live in! Congratulations!
