Hundreds of runners took to the streets around Cal Anderson Monday night for a group run to show support and raise funds to support recovery following the Boston Marathon bombing. We told you last week about the event organized by E Pine retailer Fleet Feet.
Participants on the 2.62 mile run on what turned out to be a gorgeous April night were encouraged to wear “Boston Marathon gear, the iconic Boston Marathon blue & yellow, or any race shirt” and the store held a raffle and handed out some beer for donations to the One Fund Boston effort.
UPDATE: Organizers say more than 350 people ran Monday night raising $7,000 for the Boston fun plus a match from New Balance bringing the total to a whopping $14 grand.
