We told you earlier. We’re telling you again. Don’t try to turn onto Broadway via Pine or Union using a wheeled vehicle this weekend. You’ll need a jetpack. Take it away, SDOT:

Detour of Pine Street and Union Street at Broadway
September 15^th -17^th

SEATTLE — Beginning Saturday, September 15^th traffic on Pine Street and Union Street at the intersections with Broadway will be detoured to facilitate construction of the First Hill Streetcar.  These detours will begin at 5 a.m. on Saturday, September 15^th and continue until Monday, September 17^th at 3 a.m. Traffic will be maintained on Broadway but no left turns will be allowed at Pine or Union streets.  Local access, pedestrian access, and access to businesses will be maintained during this work.

This project began in April of this year and is expected to be completed in spring 2014.

The City of Seattle is developing the First Hill Streetcar in partnership with Sound Transit, with funding provided through the 2008 voter approved Sound Transit 2 (ST2) transit expansion plan.
