Did you know Thomas Jefferson brought Mac N’ Yease to America? The 4th of July brings another important Capitol Hill tradition — Makini Howell’s annual vegan BBQ. Started way back when the 15th Ave joint was still Hillside Quickie and Plum didn’t yet exist, the community picnic is now in its seventh year.
