A rapid response from Seattle Fire crews helped knock down an E Boston garage fire before it could spread to the rest of a 1914 home Tuesday night.

In the call just before 9:30p, units were dispatched to 1102 E Boston and found flames in an attached garage and smoke spreading into the home.

E Boston remained open to traffic during the response.

There were no reported injuries and no word on cause yet from SFD.
