While it hasn’t been quite the deluge predicted — just 7/10ths of an inch since midnight — Seattle’s wet Thanksgiving week is off to a solid start. We’ve even had a bout of emergency pruning!
At 9 a.m. this morning, a Seattle Department of Transportation Urban Forestry crew will close Aloha Street between 14th Avenue E and 15th Avenue E in order to carry out emergency pruning on a large tree which is creating a safety hazard. The street will be reopened by mid-afternoon when the work should be completed.
ANOTHER VERY STRONG FRONTAL SYSTEM SIMILAR TO THE ONE THAT IS CURRENTLY AFFECTING WRN WA WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA THANKSGIVING DAY. HIGH WINDS WILL AGAIN BE A BIG CONCERN IN THE SAME SPOTS THAT GOT HIGH WINDS OVERNIGHT.
Meanwhile, leafy Aloha’s history of exciting tree news continues… exciting!
