This year for the Bike-In we decided to do something special. We’re commissioning a new live score from the folks who’ve brought you movie night at Bauhaus Coffee. Jon Francois, Marcy Stone and Tomm Johnson will compose an original soundtrack with vinyl records to the 1986 classic bicycle movie Quicksilver! Jack Casey, a successful young floor trader played by Kevin Bacon, loses all of his money after a risky business decision. Deflated and disenchanted with his profession, he decides to become a bicycle messenger.
As always, the Bike-In will feature live music curated by the Vera Project, and booths from local bicycle organizations and merchants. Come early stay late for this amazing outdoor bicycling extravaganza!
- KARMAgeddon: A “walking wake” for Jon Krumbah, aka Sr. Karma Za Betch. Starts at 6p at the Cuff Complex.
Celebration of Life and Memorial for Jon Krumbah, aka Sr. Karma Za Betch, aka Guard Rubber Booty Butt Bumper.
The Sisters will offer a Blessing, followed by an opportunity to remember and celebrate our friend and Sister’s life and work in our community.
There will be a silent auction and sale of some of Jon’s gear, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Granting Fund.
Donations to the Granting Fund are requested in lieu of flowers – $5 suggested donation at the door.
At 8:00 pm we’ll travel the Karma Loop across Capitol Hill, visiting many of Karma’s favorite stops, beginning at the Madison Pub, travelling to Purr, The Eagle, and CC Attle’s.
The night will wrap up at CC’s with the induction of Karma in the Nuns of the Above. CC’s will offer a Karmageddon drink special – Captain & Diet, of course! – with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Sisters Granting Fund.

Call me crazy, but the bike-in advertising does nothing to inform me of what it is or how to participate. So, what is it and how do I participate?
