Project Seattle Central Runway: Program intact, students put fashion on display

Final Press, the 32nd Annual Apparel Design Portfolio Fashion Showcase at Seattle Central, is underway today. According to the school, the show features the collections of 20 graduates of Seattle Central’s Apparel Design program. “A variety of categories including coats, evening wear, kidswear, menswear, and costumes will be on display in the lower and upper Atrium of the main campus building. The collections are produced in 11 weeks as a capstone project and are a culmination of two years of rigorous training in design, garment construction, patternmaking, and business.”

The show is open to the public in SCCC’s lower and upper atrium until 8 PM Tuesday night. Also, according to a few students we spoke with, it sounds like the design program had made it through SCCC’s budget cuts. More on that soon.
