Emergency units responded to Virginia Mason’s parking garage at 9th and Seneca this afternoon after a car crashed through a wall and fell 10 feet down an elevator shaft. SFD says one person had to be rescued after the car fell 10 feet but gad no apparent significant injuries. The other occupant of the vehicle was able to get out of the car on their own.
I bet they took them to Harborview!
I had to ask myself “did I read that right?” a couple times when I read “car falls down elevator shaft”! Maybe time for them to retake the driver licensing test.
I know – I thought it had to mean the ELEVATOR car had fallen…but no. Yowza!!
You’re doing it wrong.
I wonder if there’s any security camera footage from inside the building of when the car crashed through.
Thank gad they’re okay.
I can’t begin to imagine how much this is going to cost! State min insurance? Hope not!
So which is it? Did the woman miss a turn and go through fhr wall, or did her cat leap forward from a parking spot? i
