Police search Cal Anderson after pepper spray purse snatch

Two female purse snatchers threatened their victim with pepper spray before grabbing her bag and fleeing with their booty near Cal Anderson Park Tuesday afternoon.

The victim told police that one of the two females who grabbed her bag was carrying pepper spray and threatened to use it on her in the mugging. The victim told police her attackers were two black females in their 20s, wearing dark clothing, one thing, the other heavyset. The purse was described as a black and white bag.

A check of the area and Cal Anderson Park immediately after the 4:45 PM robbery did not turn up the suspects or the bag.

Didn’t they remove them from the park?

If the attack occured near the park, shouldn’t the map marker be placed there rather than in the park? Just wondering.

They probably didn’t know just where it happened so they marked the park. Would be nice to know which side though.

Actually it’s on 12th Ave and Howell. Two black women snachers punched me on my face many times after they stole my purse then I tried to take it back one of them threatened me with pepper spray.Ater that they escaped to E Olive head to Cal Anderson Park.I’m sure I ‘m not the only victim the other day because the following day I went back to this park in the morning I found another purse (Coach) black and gold left in the park with some stuffs around the purse.I took some pics and called 911.
