Stat nerd 2010 Cy Young winner Felix Hernandez to appear at Zpizza grand opening

The Seattle Mariners baseball club stunk it up so badly in 2010 that they couldn’t even be bad enough to be historical. Instead, they simply tied their own feeble selves from 2008, losing 101 games and matching the worst record in Mariner history since 1983. In the midst of this stinkery, starting pitcher Felix Hernandez turned in a fantastic statistical season creating an opportunity for baseball number nerds to champion him as their pick for the American League Cy Young. We’ll find out how the voting goes next week. On Monday, you’ll find the Mariner stat geeks lining up on Broadway to meet King Felix — and trying to score an autograph — as newly opened Zpizza says it will have the celebrity on hand to celebrated its grand opening in the Broadway Building on Monday. Bigger in the world scheme of things, they’ll also be donating 20% of proceed to Northwest Harvest. Details below.

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez will be trading in his baseball for dough, tossing pizzas at the Seattle Zpizza  grand opening celebration on Monday November 8th.  From 11:30-1:30, Felix Hernandez will be in store tossing pizza, signing autographs, and taking pictures to help us celebrate Washington’s first Zpizza located at 1620 Broadway Ave on Capitol Hill.  The event will feature delicious selections from the Zpizza menu for sampling as well as special giveaways!  Teaming up with Northwest Harvest 20% of all sales during the festivities will be donated to help fight hunger here in the northwest.  Gather family and friends and stop by for an afternoon filled with Felix Hernandez, delectable food, and fun!!!

Zpizza is located at 1620 Broadway across from Seattle Central.

BOOM!

Get out of your Mom’s basement and go get some fine ass pussy like jseattle! That guy knows more about tittaes than you know about stats. Felix only deserved the Cy Young if he had been able to use telekinesis on his teammates so they wouldn’t have been the shittiest offense in 30 years of baseball. Being a great pitcher isn’t about pitching well, it’s about playing for the Yankees who score 10 runs a game. If you’re the best pitcher in baseball, you aren’t the best pitcher in baseball unless your teammates are really really good. THAT’S SOUND LOGIC.

CC SABATHIA 4 CY YOUNG – GET WINS GET MONEY.

YOUR DONE NERDS!

I really like it. They have an incredible vegan pizza (no seriously, try it, it’s soooo good) and all the other pizzas I’ve had were really good.

Well with your logic if king felix would have played for the Yankees then he would have won 30 games. Sabithia could not even get 20 wins. With Felix the Yanks would of made it to the World Series. That is how dominat he was last season. The Award goes to the best pitcher, not the pitcher with the best team build around him. Bottom line is Felix is the King!! And more than deserves to win it.
