Daytime construction work scheduled mercifully outside the busiest commute times will reduce Denny Way over I-5 to one lane in each direction for a few days this week as work crews work on the overpass and the expansion joints that absorb the expansion or contraction of the roadway as temperatures fluctuate and, important in our earthquake prone region, help the structures withstand tremblors. Work begins Tuesday morning. Details from SDOT below.

SEATTLE – The Seattle Department of Transportation will restrict the Denny Way overpass over I-5 to one lane in each direction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, November 2, 3 and 4. Shouldn’t it read sidewalk will remain open? It is, afterall, a singular sidewalk on the south side of Denny.
Looks like you were smart enough to figure that out on your own.
Can we have sidewalk please! On the northside? Hello… Is anyone in SDOT listening?
Couldn’t agree more. I always wonder if 2 uphill lanes are really needed…I know I personally never see both of those uphill lanes fully utilized until east of the bridge.
I just want the killer potholes filled.
