Sunday mini food and drink notes: Tidbit deal, Marjorie family style, Tavern Law party

Regular CHS readers know we do our big weekly wrap of Capitol Hill food and drink notes on Mondays. But there are a few things going on this Sunday to warrant a mini notes set. Have fun.

Details: The meal will be served family style. There will be house red and white wine served with dinner. We will focus on the delightful produce from the Capitol Hill Farmer’s Sunday Farmer’s Market, Local Grilled Albacore Tuna, Roasted Free Range Chickens and Hand Cut Pasta. Tyson is thinking Clafoutis for dessert, but doesn’t want to commit! As with any meal inspired by the bounty of our region, the menu is subject to change.

Price: $40. Includes the meal and wine. Hard alcohol, tax and gratuity not included.

Fun? A given!

If you want to come, send us an email [email protected] or call 206‐372‐ 3995 and reserve!

  • Tavern Law celebrates its selection by GQ as one of the 25 best bars in America by inviting legendary Zig Zag bartender Murray Stenson to the Hill for the party. You could ask what the hell GQ knows about a good bar but that would just be rude. Tavern Law says they’ll also be photographing tonight’s party so un-pop those collars and class it up, k?

The talent behind some of the country’s best bars is getting together on October 10 to celebrate GQ Magazine’s Best Bars feature in the October issue. #1’s Murray Stenson and Ben Perri of Zig Zag will be guest bartending along with #25’s Nathan Weber and crew of Tavern Law.

The evening starts 10/10/10 at 7pm at Tavern Law and will showcase 25 cocktails from the nation’s winning bars along with a prize drawing and cocktails from sponsor Cruzan Rum. A photographer will be on hand to shoot guests. Attire’s GQ Fashion Forward– interpret how you like.
