Blessing of the Capitol Hill critters on Sunday at St. Mark’s, Monday at St. Joe’s

We heard from quite a few Capitol Hill pet owners after posting pictures from last year’s Blessing of the Animals at St. Joseph Parish that they wished they’d heard about the event earlier. The October 4th Feast of St. Francis of Assisi falls on a Monday in 2010 and the St. Joe Jesuits are, again, ready to bless your pet.

and you can bring stuffed animals or photos of animals to that blessing!

Do you have to be Catholic? I’m Protestant but figure my dog can use all the good juju he can get :)

Hi Tom, you definitely don’t have to be Catholic to receive a blessing by a priest, and neither does your dog. ;-)
