In a City Hall ceremony this afternoon, Seattle swore in its new class of political leaders including its new mayor Mike McGinn. The city’s inauguration festivities continue this weekend with a City Hall open house and an address from McGinn. Later that night Showbox SODO is hosting a free, all-ages Inaugural Music Festival that includes a fleet of Seattle’s finest street food providers (Mike with Curls, you might want to skip that part.) Details on the festival below.
Here’s video of McGinn being sworn into office by his children:

Had a pork san with fries on New Year’s eve at Skillet food Airstream. Yes, Justin, I went for it. The fries were horrid, the worst, greasy and half burned.
The pork san was OK, Wonder Bread bun, much like Burger King, except the added magic of standing in the rain, three sheets to the wind. Welcome to street food. Ah, the sheer adventure of the unknown, and hunger at midnight.
Justin likes crows, so do I; the aggressive Hill crows would indeed thrive on such road kill french fries!!!!
Best in 2010 – and Welcome new folks at City Hall (per shopping on the Hill in 2010, bought some soap at Bliss, located on N. Brwy. – simply excellent and great shop all around. Score one for local buying)
