Man struck by car at Broadway and Roy

A note from CHS reader Stephanie about an accident Monday afternoon on Broadway:

I was driving by Poppy today around 1:30p and noticed a male was struck by a car in the [crosswalk]. People stopped, and help was on the way. Just curious if you knew of his condition. When I drove by he was lying still on his stomach but appeared to be alert.

The accident near Broadway and Roy closed northbound Broadway to traffic for about 20 minutes Monday afternoon while medics responded to the scene. According to a Seattle Fire Department spokesperson, the city’s emergency personnel did not transport anybody from the scene. That usually means there were no serious injuries. We haven’t talked to SPD yet to find out if there were any charges associated with the accident.
