Obviously KOMO’s thing isn’t really competition, but this is hardly the first week that more than one neighborhood ‘blog has covered capitol hill. I love how there’s a rich array of them here and a relatively less protectionist attitude toward sharing the hyperlocal scenes.
There’s enough going on up here to support multiple indies (would like to see more indies survive longer than a year, though). But KOMO’s effort has nothing to do with a neighborhood blog covering the Hill. They’re only here to suck up advertising dollars.
Those are, indeed, good ideas. Looking for a local partner to give me a deal I can afford on printing.
