With Revival Home & Garden moving into the neighborhood this fall from Georgetown, CHS was searching the memory banks for other recent instances of established businesses moving to the Hill. One emigre business we forgot about (also on 12th Ave) is celebrating a birthday this weekend and they’ve invited you to the party.
Hello Friends of Izilla Toys!
Guess what? It was 7 years ago this month that we first opened our doors for business at the little house on Madison. Over the years we have been delighted and honored by your support and kindness. In celebration of our 7th year we are hosting a birthday party this Saturday, August 29th from 10am to 6pm. We’ll have a bouncy house, cupcakes, face painting, prizes and of course a big sale! The first 25 people to RSVP get a gift bag full of surprises and one awesome coupon. The whole Izilla family hopes you all can come by to help us celebrate and party. Izilla moved to Capitol Hill in September 2007 from its Madison Valley location. The nail salon that opened in the toy shop’s former location, you might recall, was involved in a prostitution bust last December.
Several years ago, when we began needing to purchase gifts for children, my partner and I visited every toy store in Seattle that we were able to find. Izilla Toys, then over on Madison, was hands-down the best one of them. We haven’t bothered to set foot in another local toy store since. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into their selection of toys, and when we can’t figure out what to purchase, there’s always helpful advice available. I’m a satisfied repeat customer and can’t say enough good things about them.
