Here’s the latest from the East Precinct’s arrest and incident reports:
- . When the man reported the bike had been stolen from his yard, he provided the responding officer with pictures of his missing ride. The officer recognized the bike. It has been turned in and was being held in the precinct’s collection of found and stolen property.
- The officer’s report said the man was ‘forcefully’ trying to pull the bike from its security chain. The man claimed he was angry at the bike. He was arrested for attempted theft.
- ATM ripoff: Somebody took the card and racked up the charges at 23 different locations, the police report said.

July 9, Walgreens on Broadway, batteries
July 12, Safeway on 15th, snack cakes — Officer also found what was believed to be heroin and crack cocaine on the suspect - Suspicious banker: previously held-up in April. Employees said a peculiarly dressed man entered the branch at the same time a Loomis armored truck was making a pick-up. The man appeared indecisive and nervous, the witnesses said, and spent time writing and re-writing on paper at a desk in the bank. He watched the Loomis guard leave and then exited the bank branch. The report describes the suspect as a black man, in his 20s, wearing a dark baseball cap, long sleeve tan flannel jacket, thick black gloves and dark pants. The Wells Fargo branch was
- Meanwhile, in the smash and grab department, the following reports of thefts from cars came in:
July 11, E. Harrison at 14th Ave, GPS, iPod

July 13, 14th Ave at Union, iPod, acoustic guitar - Public drinking lot: According to the report, “the parking lot is routinely used for public drinking after the clubs close. There were numerous open alcoholic beverages in the parking lot.” The officer reported that it looked like a fight was about to break out so the crowd was ordered to disperse which it did except for a man who began yelling. Officers detain the 20-year-old man and he was cited for possessing alcohol.
- SU thievery: . On the 9th, somebody made off with two Mac laptops from the administration building, one of which was ripped straight off a security cable. Meanwhile, on July 10th, staff noticed pry marks on some office doors in a Seattle U bldg on Madison but found nothing missing.

- BIltmore burglar? Finally, way back on the 7th, . The suspect was wearing a tan backpack and ‘skater’ style shoes which the officer said he recognized from the video. The suspect had been drinking and was carrying an open bottle of vodka in violation of work release status. He was arrested for the violation while detectives investigated his connection to the June burglary.
