Update 9:25 AM:
Seattle Fire Department spokesperson Dana Vander Houwen confirms that nobody was seriously injured in this morning’s accident on 15th Ave near E Denny way:
Originally there was a report of trapped patients but apparently they got out on their own. In the end, we only sent one Aid Car to the scene and everyone else was code greened. We did not transport any patients.
Seattle Police Department spokesperson Mark Jamieson said officers cited the driver for negligent driving. “She struck a parked vehicle and her vehicle flipped,” Jamieson said. “We have a responsibility to control our vehicles.” Jamieson said the woman told an officer that she experienced some kind of pain or cramp that caused her to lose control, strike the parked car and flip over. The driver was not cited for speed or for texting or using a cell phone.
