SIFF entry filmed in Cap Hill church-turned-townhomes screens tonight

Quick Seattle International Film Festival note here about a movie showing at the film fest today with a connection to the neighborhood and a recent CHS story. Scenes from The Spy and the Sparrow were filmed inside the First Church of Christ, Scientist building just before work began on converting the structure into million-dollar townhomes.

Here’s the plot summary from the producers:

At the time of the filming in 2007, a casting call was put out for area actors to take part in the filming. Did you join the cast?

The Spy and the Sparrow shows tonight at 9 PM at SIFF Cinema and again on Saturday at 11 AM at the Egyptian on Capitol Hill.

Another SIFF feature, True Adolescents, was also filmed at Hill locations.
