Old School Frozen Custard is having a big grand opening on Saturday complete with free cones. But it’s open for business starting now just in time for the heat oh so hot i need ice cream emergency we’re experiencing today. You can add your OSFC review here.
Cone cost me $3. I consumed my custard in about 33 seconds so the experience will cost you about 9 cents per second of joy.
Here’s the menu, btw. They’ve got chili and hot dogs, also. As neighbor Mike with curls notes, latest culinary developments on the Hill are the stuff of kindergarten dreams.
Another image from the CHS flickr pool. Enjoy!

I went and tried out the frozen custard at old school and it was amazing! I will no longer stand in line for Molly Moon’s overrated ice cream.
your cone shot is strangely reminiscent of a recent Seattlest photo
OMG. I got a sample of this stuff right out of the machine as it was going into the bucket. So incredibly creamy and then to hear it has like 1/2 the butterfat of regular ice cream! Get the hell out of here! So freakin good. My friend got a rootbeer float and I got a scoop of vanilla with a shot of espresso drizzled over the top. AWESOME. Flippin awesomeness.
LOVE the old school photos. Love them.
Nice!
Mountain blackberry concrete with coconut and cashews mixed in (think the creamiest blizzard you have every had). So incredibly good and smooth. I cannot wait to try the Kahlua choc chip today…. I LOVE that they do a new flavor every day. How awesome. I don’t think I have been thanked so much either going into a place…. so incredibly nice and thankful to the customers….. I just LOVE THIS PLACE. I did not know this was a family business either. Yes, father during the day, daughter and husband at night…. how cool is that!! Refreshing.
Made right out in front of the store and served out of the bucket new ice cream is flowing into. Bad ASS!
Our 8 month old son enjoyed his first taste of chocolate and ice cream last night at Old School. Needless to say, he loved it.
