MORE pho on North Broadway

4 out of 5 blocks of North Broadway now have a pho restaurant (North of E Olive).  So in case the other 3 don’t hit the spot, you can try Pho Lotus Chinese & Vietnamese Restaurant, opening soon in the old El Tajin location.

Don’t get me wrong – I love Pho and Thai – but there’s definitely a glut….

We need more good Chinese.

I agree! I’ve been wishing for good (and inexpensive and generously portioned) Chinese food on the hill. Don’t get me wrong, the ID isn’t that far really, but someplace walkable would be awesome.

We need more upscale restaurants.

It is so weird that someone would open a new Pho restaurant! I’ll certainly try it, but I doubt it will be as good as Pho Cyclo — yeah, I’m weird because Than Brothers isn’t my favorite!

I would love it if some place would open like Seven Stars Pepper from the ID… they would get a ton of business on Capitol Hill.

I wish this had been another nail salon. :-|

Seriously, ditto the requests for a decent Chinese restaurant)

It’s probably my fault for how I wrote the headline… but you all seem to be ignoring the fact that this place says it’s CHINESE and Vietnamese Food. Maybe this place IS the good, cheap Chinese food you’ve all been waiting for!

Don’t get me wrong, I love Asian food. But wow, do we have a glut! Why doesn’t someone open a pub or perhaps a wine bar on North Broadway. I live right next to the newest Pho place, and I honestly have no intention of going there. I wish them the best, but I suspect they will fail. This particular strip of North Broadway is kinda cursed. However maybe that will change once the massive apartment complex is completed on Broadway and Republican. But I would bet the Pho place doesn’t last that long

There’s a hugely diverse menu, and they give you A LOT of food for the money. The vegetables were VERY fresh and not limited to mushroom and onion (yes, I’m talking to you, THAN BROTHERS!).
