If an artwalk on Capitol Hill tonight isn’t your thing, pehaps a Frankentrike is.
Sole Repair is host to Bloom!, a new quarterly event focused on green innovation. Billed as “as conversation with Seattle’s green innovators,” at Bloom! tonight select speakers will share their experiences and passion around what’s new and making an impact in sustainability.
Tonight’s conversation includes speakers and topics hand-picked to bring in more than the usual greenies: Molly Moon ice cream, Frankentrike, dense footprints, a sea-going raft made from platic bottles, social media dynamics, and Theo Chocolate (partial list). Find the full list of speakers and topics on the Bloom! website and on the Capitol Hill Seattle Events calendar.
Personally, I want to know what the heck a Frankentrike is. Maybe one will be parked outside! I am also super-interested in hearing how the plastic bottle raft did at sailing across the Pacific. (I wonder if the sailors grew up reading “Dove.”)
I know many are fans of Molly Moon ice cream and of Theo Chocolate, so there’s something of interest for you, too. Hear Molly Moon talk about her sustainability practices, and when her shop opens on Capitol Hill perhaps you’ll feel a little less guilty about eating ice cream.
Maybe there will be some schwag there tonight — the fully biodegradable and delicious kind.
