The artist says she’s going to restore the Obama mural:

I feel for Shelly and for our neighborhood, but I think she is being entirely too soft on this selfish vandal. Where is the outrage? My suggestion is that she “electrify” her garage door so that the next time he attempts to destroy her art he will get a little dose of reality.

I used to live right by there on 11th and John and would walk by the old mural every day. It wasn’t defaced until the local news started reporting on it. The taggers are just looking for attention and the news people keep giving it to them. I wish the reporters would just leave it alone.
