If you still care what they build on Broadway

When it was Slogged about back in August, the 224 Broadway project — two mixed-use buildings being planned for the space now occupied by the Broadway Bank of America — drew 17 comments. Many, like the Slog post, lamented the multitude of craptastically ugly projects on the Hill.

It will be interesting to find out how many people show up tonight when the “early design guidance” portion of the public design review process happens. It’s your first and best chance to tell the developers what you think about the space that is, among other things, currently home to the Broadway farmers’ market. To their faces. Or, you can continue to leave pithy comments on the Slog. Your call.

Also, mark your calendar now for September 17 when you’ll have an opportunity to weigh in on this six-story building planned for a parking lot at E Pike and Bellevue directly across from the gold-domed First Covenant Church. You might want to touch base with the Pike Pine Urban Neighborhood Council if you’re interested in getting involved in this one.
