A Hollywood-worthy accident on Broadway minutes ago — from the Central District News police scanner report:
915 E. Roy – Accident & Fire – A vehicle has run into a gas pump at the 76 station, causing a fire. Police are shutting down traffic on all neighboring streets, including Broadway. Update: Victim found with burns on her legs and feet. Update x2: Police have the driver, who is described as “very high”
Thanks Justin and CDN for your instant news. We saw and heard all of the police cars and saw info on the Real time 911 page. But you gave us the goods!
yeah, if you were planning to get gas on Broadway, you’ll have to make other plans.
Hopefully she’s ok and nobody else got hurt.
the driver was “very high”. Shocking.

Just received this announcement from a reliable source via email and thought folks might be interested in attending the benefit. I’m passing the message on exactly as it was received…..
“According to Shelly Bothers one of the co-owners of The Wildrose: Martha Manning, Wildrose co-owner, was badly burned at the gas pump. Martha was pumping gas and a car rammed the pump. Martha’s pants caught fire. She extinguished the flames, ran back to the car grabbed out her little precious chihuahua, Honey. Ran away from the fire and the car’s gas tank exploded. Martha has been in the hospital for over two weeks now. Her burns are requiring grafting. Martha’s dog did not even suffer smoke inhalation.
The Wildrose will be closed, for one night only.
