Miller Park neighbor Andrew Taylor knows how things get done in this city. He’s posted a cool map and rundown of Miller Park area street improvements that not only documents the upgrades in his neighborhood but shines the spotlight on the neighbors who did the work to make the projects happen. Lucky for us, we share a border zone with Miller Park so we get to benefit from these improvements too.
Traffic circles rock. I want several on Aloha. But remember the traffic circle driving rules, please.
Rock on. It’s really gratifying to know that the city is paying attention to stuff they can easily fix, as long as they’re told about it. You know that plate in the roadway on 24th, around Highland? It was my email to SDOT that got it removed. The city had been waiting for a private contractor to do repair work on residential property, but they weren’t notified when he was finished.
A couple of nights ago, we heard a loud clang, then the sound of an engine revving. This was about 11pm at night. Looking outside, we saw a car stuck in the middle of the traffic circle at 14th and Howell…the loud clang being the sound of the reflective sign falling over onto the pavement after the car hit it. The car eventually untangled itself from the circle and drove off. The driver was obviously intoxicated.
That’s the downside of the circles. Overall I like having them though.
Oh and if anyone knows where to call to have the sign replaced, please let me know. It’s been almost a week and the sign is still down.
Wesa, maybe this form will help you
Thanks!
