K’s recent review of Palermo sparks the need for yet another post — restaurant delivery options for our part of Capitol Hill. We’re talking about restaurants that actually bring the chow to your door, not those expensive 3rd party delivery services or places that do takeout. Here are the options that we know about. Somebody we missed? Leave a comment. Please! It’s very selfish to not share!
Fancy Pants Capitol Hill Chow Delivery Options
- Palermo Gourmet Pizza and Pasta – (206) 322-3875 – menu
- Teapot Vegetarian House – (206) 325-1010 – menu
- India Express – (206) 324-9449 – menu
- Julie’s Garden – (206) 223-3690 – menu isn’t online but check these reviews
Each mails out coupons pretty regularly but you can also get Palermo’s coupons online.

Broadway Wok and Grill…
Really nice Chinese food and they have Thai dishes too. Very speedy delivery. The menu is online at the web site.
Siam Thai on 15th across from Liberty delivers. I like it much better than the other Thai place on 15th.
If you’re lookin for some variety in your Indian, Maharaja on Pike delivers(206) 320-0334 ,Bombay Grill (in the U district) will deliver to us in the Harvard/Belmont area, not sure about your 15-19th zone. Their Website (http://www.bombaygrillofseattle.com/) says they have a 2 mile radius.
If you want some Pasta or a Sandwich, Bella ( http://www.bellapizzapasta.com/) and Amante (
http://www.amantepizzaandpasta.com/) deliver more than just Pizza.
That said, I order from India Express a lot. They’re quicker than everyone else, and since they changed owners, the food has gotten a lot better.
Broadway Wok & Grill delivers to off-15th. Yummy!

(don’t forget pagliacci)
you should add a link to something like this to CHS. make your own collection (or use mine if you want, but use at your own peril).
Two comments:
* I’m still mad at Amante for taking over from the Red Line, even though it wasn’t their fault. I went to Amante after they opened and I was appalled at the pile of crap they called puttanesca pasta. Plus, their decor belongs in Kirkland, not Capitol Hill. Good riddance when they finally go out of business.
* Topolino’s delivers, but they have a pretty high minimum order.

Toscana Pizzeria on Summit (325-0877) delivers to 15th/19th, their prices are good, and their listing on Citysearch has a coupon for a further discount. For almost ten years, they’ve been my beloved pizza delivery on the hill.
Palermo’s Provencale pizza is the bomb! I had it delivered on Saturday morning and it was the perfect hangover anticdote. Long Live Palermo!
re: amante
you wont have to worry, that location is the kiss of death for restaurants. I’m still mourning the Capitol Hill Diner.
i found a julie’s menu online! http://www.restaurantplace.com/restaurant-scanmenu.aspx?from=fe11&restId=11723
Rom Mai Thai on Broadway delivers with a $25 minimum. (I live just off of Broadway, though, so you may need to check if they deliver to the more far-flung streets of Cap Hill)
I think All Purpose Pizza and Ale House delivers
