We don’t really want to talk about what happened yesterday. We’re hurt. And little gismo is hurt. But the Capitol Hill Seattle Tourney 2006 continues. For those of you just tuning in, here’s the deal. We’re pitting 16 of our neighborhood’s icons and businesses head to head in a battle for ultimate supremacy. Each battle in Round 1 consists of a one-day vote where you, the loyal readers, throw your support behind the most beloved Capitol Hill entity. At the end of the day, the results are tallied and the victor advances to the next round. You can track all the action and see results of previous matches here on the CHS Tourney 2006 Bracket post. No, to the next contest.
This match-up has been waiting to happen for years. Two business within .1 mile of each other offering the exact same service — from different sides of the same street. This may be the hardest fought battle yet; perhaps coming down to exogenous factors like geographic location. Alterations Plus makes its home near the wine shop on 15th while A-Super Clean roosts between Victrola and Rainbow. Vote!

A-Super Clean is such a great place, if a bit expensive. They do great alterations, too.
For in-bulk cleaning, check out Royal Cleaners at 14th and Mad. They have a Friday special that is amazing ($3 an item, 5 pieces minimum, and also $1 shirt laundry)
