Joining the craft revolution

This post ranges a little farther down the hill than our usual reach where we found a new fabric store on Pike called Stitches. If, say, you were to have received a sewing machine for Christmas (thanks Mom!), this is the spot to begin your sewing adventure. It’s a pretty little store with a more modern focus – if you were looking to make Snoopy curtains or a kid’s baseball-themed quilt, this is not the spot. But if you want unique textures, sweet prints or one of 6 colors of stretch vinyl, you should make a trip. Stitches provides sewing machines in the back for customer use which is a great service, and pretty dang smart too. There are classes too – lots of classes. Handmade is in, mass produced is out, and Stitches is happy to help you make the transition.
