Victrola easily put down a relatively weak challenge from the Volunteer Park Conservatory in the start of Round 2 action in Capitol Hill Seattle Tourney 2006. Now it’s time to pick the uber-coffeehouse’s semi-final competitor.
Enter The Slog and the “everything store” — 15th Ave’s ShopRite.
The Slog used its massive audience of bored cubicle surfers to bludgeon poor widdle us and a kitten in Round 1.
Meanwhile, ShopRite destroyed corporate City People’s-replacer Walgreens.
For the next two days, it’s a legendary faceoff of two thing we can’t really explain but can’t really live without. Ladies and gentlemen, Slog vs. ShopRite. Poll closes Friday night.

This is dumb.
once dan savage solicits votes on the slog, it’s all over
the writing was on the wall as soon as you added the slog to the mix (if the everything store can’t topple them, who can?).
They’re up against Victrola in the next round. It’s like the Yankees vs. the Yankees.
Sorry for the early closure, all. We meant for this poll to run through Friday night but screwed something up when creating it over on dpolls.com. We were hoping for a Rocky-like comeback for ShopRite but it was unlikely.
