We’re not the only ones in Seattle dashing off notes about our home turf and posting them for the world to see. A quick spin through Technorati reveals quite a few neighborhood blogs in the city. The big sites do a great job of staying on top of city-wide issues and highlighting the best of Seattle from all parts. But we like learning about the neighborhoods from the people that live there and walk the sidewalks.
- Ballard — Hmmm. Nothing we could find solely dedicated to the hood — http://ballardseattle.blogspot.com/ is available so get to it! In the meantime, real estate folks Rain City Guide and The Mysterious Traveler can hook you up with an occasional Ballardian tidbit.
- Belltown Bent — Documents the neighborhood POV for the folks who get up before 9a.
- Georgetown Neighborhood — New but hopefully they’ll keep it going
- Pioneer Square — Somehow this one flew below our radar. It’s been out there for a few months and has lots of good posts about the south end of downtown.
- Uptown/Lower-Queen Anne — This is our previous site before we moved up the hill. Sounds like somebody may pick up the torch and get it moving again.
- West Seattle Blog — All the posts that fit about our cousins to the west.
Freemont? Madrona? Central Disrict, Rainier Valley, Magnolia, Queen Anne? Eastlake? Green Lake? Northgate? Where’s the ID? Beacon Hill or Columbia City? We know you’re out there.

Great list of blogs…
BTW, if you, or any other neighborhood bloggers, would be interested in geocoding your blog posts, I’d be happy to show you how. (I’m not positive it could be done easily with Blogger, but it was super easy with WordPress).
I recently threw a bunch of Rain City Guide posts up over our home search tool (look for the raindrops here: Zearch ) and I find it to be almost addicting!
